A balanced ocean is a balanced planet

Just completed an amazing week shooting in Bahia Los Angeles with Dokument Films and actor Brady Smith. Filming sharks and especially Whale Sharks is something I have had the pleasure of doing several times this year. Working on pilot stories and meeting new people is another great pleasure of working in the TV and Film industry. However this experience was all together different……….

I had the pleasure of being invited by Dokument Films to shoot both topside and underwater for a TV Pilot about Brady´s adventures with Sharks, Shark scientists and various Shark Conservation advocates around the World. Dokument Films even interviewed me!

I am a huge Advocate for Shark conservation and never quite realised how much all my work with Adoptashark and the beautiful but painful story behind Iemanya Oceanica meant to me.

It is strange as a film maker and lighting cameraman to be behind the camera and have the emotion of an interview and your attachment to it bring tears to your eyes.  I blame Rachel Graham for making me cry and Laleh for just being Laleh!

The finished version of this pilot is a tribute to some very conservation minded people.  I want to dedicate my small contribution to the inspiration that is Laleh at Iemanya…Without the love and affection of Laleh and her family, my shark conservation antics would be gracing another non-profit and I would simply not be happy with that. Laleh…thank you
